Team Member: Cashier/Clerk - Part Time

HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn is looking for fun, energetic, and friendly persons to join our team.  We strive to create a welcoming environment and satisfying experiences for our customers and employees.  HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn is dedicated to consistently creating and serving delicious, handcrafted gourmet products, providing great customer service in a clean and visually exciting store while inspiring others to do the same. 

Our cashiers/clerks interact with guests, help them with their selections and prepare their orders.  All while maintaining the HoneyPop Poppin Service brand.  A cashier’s/clerk’s responsibility is to ensure that they can speak about all products and promotions.  They are responsible for ending the transaction professionally, kindly, and ready to welcome the customer back in, while handling money correctly. Job Duties
HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn Team Members should:

  • Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and effectively.
  • Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns, both in person, online and via phone.
  • Works to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Notifies management about any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure customer and employee safety is a top priority.
  • Receive and fulfill in-person and telephone orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receive, fulfill, package and ship online orders in a timely and accurately manner.
  • Proactively clean and maintain the exterior and interior areas, including the store front, backend, storage areas, restrooms, lobby, and displays.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines followed by the store.
  • Restock popcorn, displays, and supplies when needed and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Knowledgeable of and promote the HoneyPop Poppin Loyalty program, products, services, and brand.
  • Package, close or seal bags in the approved HoneyPop Poppin manner to maintain freshness and brand appearance.
  • Preform other duties as workload necessitates or assigned.
  • Position may require attendance to support occasional events hosted by the company. 



Requirements

  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work positively in a team environment.
  • Able to follow written or oral instructions and procedures.
  • Possess organizational and creative skills.
  • Present a neat, clean appearance in uniform according to HoneyPop Poppin’s dress code.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple requests efficiently.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in a retail environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of the functions of POS systems and cash registers preferred.
  • Able to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Position will require frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and carrying/lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Able to stand a minimum of 4 hours.
  • Experience with food prep in a fast-paced environment is preferred but not necessary.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Food Handler Certificate preferred.

Our Cooks turn our ingredients into something uniquely delicious by continuing the HoneyPop Poppin tradition of handcrafted popcorn made in small batches. We take great pride in consistently producing top quality gourmet popcorn each day and helping maintain product levels to ensure a steady supply of gourmet popcorn for each guest. Job Duties
HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn Team Members should:

  • Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Follow all recipes with no variation to ensure HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn is always serving the highest quality products.
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet the HoneyPop Poppin Gourmet Popcorn standards.
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are met, including the proper function of store equipment.
  • Works to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Notifies management about any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure customer and employee safety is a top priority.
  • Clean and maintain the Kitchen areas, including the equipment and refrigerator.
  • Restock popcorn and maintain quality supplies of popcorn in airtight storage containers.
  • Preform other duties as workload necessitates or assigned.
  • Ensure FIFO rotation of all ingredients and prepared product.
  • Taste product to ensure top quality.
  • Every team member is responsible for ensuring that the store is clean, presentable to customers, and fully stocked at all times (includes sharing cleaning responsibilities).
